Spring Camel Coat I

“In the Spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.” -Mark Twain. A quote that cannot describe Toronto weather better. It’s almost mid April, and there’s been an uncanny mixture of sunlight, rain and snow (yes, snow, as matter of fact I’m seeing snowflakes outside right at this moment). I like mild seasons, but I’ll take Fall over Spring any day – it’s just a lot more mature and stable. Although, if I were to give Spring some credit, I do think it’s quite a symbolic season. To me it can symbolize a fresh start, perhaps aspire for something new and adventurous along with the blooming trees and flowers; it goes without saying that it ain’t easy to start anything, hence it isn’t always going to be petals and sunshine. There will be rainy chilly days, but we’ll adapt, and eventually smell the petrichor that accompanies the rain. How can we moderate the bumpiness of spring you ask? The answer is obvious! – be stylish, with some spring camel coats :-). Some fashion trends fade, some make come backs with time, and some others have staying …

Coffee Tee & Sneaks

Black, grey, white, the essential shades in I need in my closet.  It’s the case especially for those who are into minimalism. I know it lacks vibrant touches, and may look a little dull, but a look that consists of these shades (nicely matched ones of course) is most definitely a head turner – that’s where the power of simplicity lies. This look perfectly describes I feel these days – casual,  calm, low-key, and with baggage full of thoughts. I thought this was a cute look mostly because of the coffee tee, although I actually don’t drink coffee because it does absolutely nothing for me! I always thought it’s important to have color elements in an outfit correspond to each other. An example is that I’m wearing a grey tee with white font, matched with a white skirt (the grey sneakers with white laces were just a bonus to the outfit, but not necessary). IF the font on my tee is black, then I most definitely would have worn a black bottom to go with it. Here’s more… I …

The School Girl

Oh em gee, my current obsession! A while ago I’ve given some love to the T-shirt dresses in this look. And now I’m back with more! This trend was prevailing in Asia, and is now creeping the local markets! If you are shying away from body-con dresses, this can be your alternative. It doesn’t contribute to a “sexy” look because it’s loosely fitted, but your body will thank you for how relieving and forgiving it is! It also gives off that effortless chic feel and bring out the cuteness in you. To enhance the look, I wore a watch, a backpack and paired some sneakers. I want to call this one – the school girl look 🙂 Sneakers right now is THE trend, and if you preach it like I do, you’re probably on your way to get a pair of Stan Smith right this moment if you don’t already own one.  My pair was purchased from Zooshoo (as seen in my previous posts), it isn’t from Adidas because, well, I’ve splurged enough for one summer 🙂

Fashion Favorites [06/29]

The fashion industry has fast changing dynamics, while we always hold on to our classic pieces, we also develop likes for the most trending products from season to season. Today I am going to share some of the recent fashion favorites with you! Let’s jump into it! ❤ 1) Summer’s almost here! Have you gotten a pair of slides? While we still adore gorgeous stilettos, the minimalism style has really gotten its market share – simple slip-on sandals are EVERYWHERE. It’s perfect for an effortless look on a casual day out. I’d personally go for black sandals for a more chic street feel. In terms of what kind of slides are best for you, I’d say be adventurous and just try something you normally wouldn’t wear! I have a feeling this is going to be a short lived fad, so experience the trend before it goes away! 2) Is that matching wear I see? Heck yeah! At one point I’m sure we all thought matching clothing is a tacky and cheesy concept. But you don’t have to worry about that no more 🙂 You can get with …
